What makes it different
Guilin and Yangshuo offer river scenery and karst landscapes, while Longji adds a contrasting terrace-and-village setting. The Guilin component of South China Karst is recognized by UNESCO. Choose this region for time outdoors and a slower countryside stay, rather than the expectation of identical weather or views every day.
How to shape the days
Our six-day route separates the Longji excursion from the river and Yangshuo portion. Avoid returning to a Guilin hotel every night if your priority is Yangshuo's countryside. A cruise, cycling outing and terrace walk are different activities: select them for your interests and walking ability rather than automatically including all of them.
Connections & practical choices
Check which airport or railway station your ticket uses and where the river activity starts and finishes. Boats and outdoor activities depend on local operating and weather conditions. Rafting has operator-specific restrictions; do not assume children or every adult can participate. Agree a weather alternative and whether luggage travels separately during a cruise.
